Question 1 What is it about research as a career that interests you the most? In which subject area(s) would you like to pursue research? What led you to choose this area of research? Response to Question 1 I have always thought physics as the study of two separate fields. One which explain phenomena of everyday life and another which could not be fathomed in everyday life. From my school, I am interested in experimental physics work and its implications on society. So, in my PhD I wish to do research on condensed matter experimental physics which is much useful for society and industrial purposes. Again I have great interest on condensed matter physics and thus I will work with my level best by enjoying my job and giving my full efforts to the research work, if I will get an opportunity to do research in JNCASR. Doing research on the topics of my interest is an ambition of my life. I have completed my master course from Fakir Mohan University, Odisha which is one of the best institute for master's in physics in Odisha.. Every branch of physics attracts me to know further. So, I can work on any field if I got PhD position in JNCASR. JNCASR is my first choice for PhD studies because of its reputation as a center of learning and research work. I look forward to the work that students are required to conduct and I hope to focus on my research work. Additionally, a close mentorship(supervisor) will enable me to learn techniques quickly and conduct relevant experiments quickly. My research of interest are in these fields: 1. Superconductivity. 2. Question 2 Describe any project, or laboratory experiment, or research-oriented training programme that you have been involved in. Please highlight the aspects that you particularly enjoyed. Response to Question 2 I had done my MSc project on Home Automation Using Arduino under the guidance of Dr. Rajib Biswal. This is an experimental project on Arduino. By seeing the use of Arduino in our usual life, me and my groupmate planned to do the project. Now-a-days almost everybody of us using smart phones, so my project aim is to control all electronics appliances by using your phone without touching the switches used in the room. Thus, anyone having security code and one application can control the electronic gadgets at anyplace in the home. It also includes security verification at the gates, vehicle parking restrictions and many other many features. The Project was highly appreciated by all the faculty members. I have done Laboratory experiments on Condensed matter Physics, Electronics and different computational programming languages under the guidance of our highly talented lectures. We all have done our experiments properly and our mentors helped us a lot in this. I have given seminars on many topics of interest during my graduation and post graduation time. Thank you... Response to Question 3 The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is one of the premier institutes in India. It is known for its excellent, innovative, and collaborative interdisciplinary approach toward conducting scientific research. JNCASR is my first choice for PhD studies because of its reputation as a center of learning and research work.
