Question 1
What is it about research as a career that interests you the most? In which subject area(s) would you like to pursue research? What led you to choose this area of research?

Response to Question 1
Research is all about finding something novel, accepting challenges and doing your best whatever it may be. I would like to pursue research in cell signalling. This area interest me because I like to find the links and paths that connects the phenomena happening inside the cells, effects of drugs and any kind of stimuli that may activate of deactivate some pathways, its the connections of pathways that plays the actual role in any response. I find this challenging and interesting.

Question 2
Describe any project, or laboratory experiment, or research-oriented training programme that you have been involved in. Please highlight the aspects that you particularly enjoyed.

Response to Question 2
I have done Dissertation under the guidance of Dr. Mayank Pandey, Assistant Professor, Kumaun University, Nainital in project title "Study of biochemical parameters of Phaseolus vulgaris under heavy metal toxicity of lead and role of Salicylic acid". I investigated the effect of lead(Pb) toxicity on Phaseolus vulagaris with different concentrations of Pb. I performed physical parameters like Dry and Wet Biomass of Pd stressed plants and biochemical parametes like chlorophyll, carotene, proline, Malondialdehyde(MDA) content and antioxidant enzymes activities of Superoxidwe dismutase, calatase, peroxidase and ascorbate peroxidase using UV-VIS spectrophotometer and found decreased biomass and plant pigments while increased proline, MDA and antioxidant enzymes activity in Pd stressed plants as compared to control. Salicylic acid was used as an elicitor and its application showed recovery in biomass and plant content and reduced the activity of antioxidant enzymes.
I have done 6 months BCIL trainning programme 2019-2020 under the guidance of Mr. Kaviraj, Head of Analytical Development Department, Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Ltd, Pune. The project title "Forced degradation study of a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody(mAb)" was performed to evaluate intrinsic stability and effects of environmental conditions on mAb. I stressed mAb at different temperatures and identified aggregation, fragmentation, low molecular weight impurities, acidic and basic variants and binding potency using SDS-PAGE, Size exclusion chromatography, Capillary electrophoresis-SDS, Charge variant and Indirect ELISA respectively.
I enjoyed finding new facts about the metal stress study which I performed and planning the experiment for the stress study as of how much concentration to give at what intervals and finding the effects afterwards.

Question 3
State the reasons on why you want to opt for JNCASR for your advanced research / academic studies.

Response to Question 3
I came across this institute from my seniors which are working there and are having great scientific exposure and experience. So I also want to contribute my part in research in the institute.
