Question 1 What is it about research as a career that interests you the most? In which subject area(s) would you like to pursue research? What led you to choose this area of research? Response to Question 1 I find research career as a contribution to society who has given me the education and i see this as a chance paying back by making out something useful . I have done my MSc project on quantum heterostructures, and i think use these in device applications such as lasers , spintronic devices. Question 2 Describe any project, or laboratory experiment, or research-oriented training programme that you have been involved in. Please highlight the aspects that you particularly enjoyed. Response to Question 2 I have attended summer training programme in physics conducted by The Academy of sciences chennai and Science city, Government of Tamil Nadu and Department of Nuclear Physics, University of Madras. It was a three week programme which mainly consist of lectures by experts in different research fields. Question 3 State the reasons on why you want to opt for JNCASR for your advanced research / academic studies. Response to Question 3 I think this institute is suited with my academic background and can do my best.
