Question 1 What is it about research as a career that interests you the most? In which subject area(s) would you like to pursue research? What led you to choose this area of research? Response to Question 1 I’m interested in Physics specially in condensed matter experimental research . which fascinate me more, like I want to apply the principle of physics , electronics and chemistry to tackle the problem related to energy conservation and other significant issues which will help to make life easier and faster and fulfill the need of today’s world. I found it very interesting to take up research in such fields like RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY, LOW DIMENSIONAL MATERIALS which will exploit the properties of matter for their practical uses. These fields have changed our lives. In a very short period and changed the way we have looked at things since centuries. It is one industry that is going to shape our future for centuries to come. Hence my desire to do Ph.D. in the field of condense matter Physics Question 2 Describe any project, or laboratory experiment, or research-oriented training programme that you have been involved in. Please highlight the aspects that you particularly enjoyed. Response to Question 2 This field of physics specially RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY has proved it credential and potential to change the way of our life so this can be a promising field of study and is in its growing phase and there is a lot to be explored and utilize its towards making our way of life more eco-friendly and smarter .I have been worked on a project named as “ Study of Microscopic Level Physics at Nanoscale Using Raman Scattering” at Department Of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Indore. I was working on this project since july 2019 just after completing my M.Sc. previous year to June 2020 . I have enjoyed this field and fulfilling my appetite to know more about materials and their properties by working on this project with my guide Dr. Rajesh Kumar who always encourage me and ready to help regarding explanation and clarification of my quires and problems. Question 3 State the reasons on why you want to opt for JNCASR for your advanced research / academic studies. Response to Question 3 when I approached to one of my senior , who is now pursuing Ph.D. at JNCASR, has really inspired me to research in the field of Materials Science from a top-notch institute like JNCASR. He told me about ongoing projects at JNCASR and also about the labs facilities. I’ve completed my post graduation with Physics and now I want to learn and take up research in any field related to Material science. It has given me the confidence to pursue research in field of applied physics related to material science and also kindled a desire to do research. |
